6. Ziggler And Miz Did A Match Based Around Hitting In The Face And It Worked

WWE.comJohn CantonSometimes wrestling can be so simple. We tend to complicate things as fans whether we mean to or not. When Dolph Ziggler wrestled The Miz, they did a lot of funny things in the pre-match with Ziggler trying to go after the face of Miz while Miz told him not to. Have you ever seen the movie The Hangover when Rob Riggle's cop character yelled "In The Face" repeatedly? That's what we were chanting this whole match as they built up to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkkUvMGz4A0 Even though Ziggler teased hitting Miz in the face early in the match, it took about 10 minutes for Ziggler to finally do it. When it happened the crowd cheered wildly. It's such a simple story to tell within a match, but they did it and it worked. Ziggler ended up winning with a Superkick, which fit the story of the match because it was a move done to the face. If he did the Zig Zag it wouldn't have meant as much in that match. The Fameasser probably could have worked too since it's a move done to the face.
