WWE: Looking At A Mizerable Main Event And A Power Punch of NXT

Let's move on down to Full Sail University and the crew from NXT as this week we saw a lot of action for dynamic duos none short of which was the commentary team of Assistant to the Managing Supervisor of Raw Brad Maddox and the man who took out that legendary William Regal last week. Kasshus Ohno joining Tony Dawson to call some the action. This trio would lead to some comical moments air first match which saw the Wyatt family versus Adrian Neville and Bo Dallas. The match itself was solid as Adrian played the Ricky Morton role of the scrappy Babyface struggling to make a tag over coming the odds to tag in the fired up Bo Dallas. Before the match, Bray Wyatt gave another one of his excellent promos, this one involving how you never should feel sorry for the week little mouse being fed to this make because that the natural order of things. Great stuff here, but without a doubt the most shining thing in the whole match was the commentary of Brad Maddox and KO who had me cracking up with discussing the hygiene of Luke Harper and Eric Rowan calling them stupid swamp people at one point as well as how to get the next level of tag team supremacy with Maddox saying it takes 11 matches a day to the surprise of the former Young Knockout Kid Chris Hero. Maddox really shined on commentary€ The finish of the match came after the NXT tag team champion Adrian Neville get a corkscrew dive out of the ring onto Bray Wyatt and Eric Rowan after the leader of the family attempted to get involved leading to a release belly to belly by Bo Dallas for the win. Really good opener€ Set the tone for the night. We hear from Connor O'Brien, who will challenge the NXT champion Big E Langston tonight in the main event, says that tonight is his time to ascend and win the NXT Championship€ Side notes: (Maybe it's the purple lights he was standing in but why would you be called the Ascension if you still need to ascend.) They go to commercial and we come back and Dawson tosses to a Wrestlemania video package. We come back and it looks like they're going to throw to another when somebody (William Regal) brought the power of the punch to the announce table trying the knockout his rival Kasshius but instead got his broadcast partner Dawson instead. Then, William Regal rakes the eyes of the master of the roaring elbow before things get some order. We come back from commercial and we see a very worried Brad Maddox and Tony Dawson, who tried up with him to together as another tag team match with the divas as Sasha Banks and Page (a team I'm going to call Forever 21) versus versus the very accountable Audrey Marie and Summer Rae (a team I will call Bitchslap). Side notes: (The announcers during the match are somehow fascinated with the fact that Audrey used to be an accountant. Now we know how she paid for her WWE enhancements) The match itself was solid, and much like the one before had Sasha Banks in the babyface role struggling to make a tag against the heels until Paige , who was focused on her arrival the whole match (good psychology there) was tagged which saw Summer Rae instantly exit the ring and literally sprint up the ramp and out of the building. This leads Paige to hit Ghanarhea a.k.a. the Paige Turner on Audrey and gets the win. Then leads to the leader of the anti-Barbie Army leaving the area going after Summer Rae as Sasha celebrates in the ring alone. We see that fact that the NXT championship matches on its way to the ring as Connor O'Brien's eyes tell the story. And we learned that next week Regal and Ohno will battle in a match that is sure to be one them remember The main event this week was a little rough to watch as O'Brien tried to get the most out of the very limited NXT champion and makes fried the best but in the end it ended predictably as the master the 5 count got one on his opponents make him descend back down the contenders a ladder. All that said, a good episode of NXT with some really solid action and really fun commentary. Can't wait to see that match with the William Regal and Ohno next week that will be one that everybody should see. If anything like the one with Ambrose from FCW then we' re in for a treat
