Anyone who has been watching the past few weeks of WWE television will know that the build to Money In The Bank has been a mixed bag. On one hand, tag-team matches have worked for the titular Ladder Match, even if some segments have digressed into that familiar multi-man brawl territory.
On the other, WWE have done very little to create excitement for Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins. The latter has just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and already he feels like just another guy on the roster. With any luck, the actual pay-per-view itself will still satisfy, unlike the build for the main event match.
There's a pay-per-view in between this one and SummerSlam (Battleground), but WWE's annual Summer tradition is the one Money In The Bank must focus on. Already, the company should be keeping in mind what matches they have planned for August 21, and that must be reflected at Money In The Bank.
What needs to happen in order for the build towards SummerSlam to start? Let's take a look at what must go down this Sunday...
10. Dolph Ziggler & Baron Corbin's Lengthy Feud Ends
Dolph Ziggler defeated Baron Corbin during the Kickoff show of Payback on May 1st. Then at Extreme Rules the favour was returned, as Corbin beat his rival, again during the pre-show. At Money In The Bank, it looks like the pair will collide once more during the Kickoff portion, for the third consecutive pay-per-view.
In essence, this is like a rubber match between the feuding duo, but there's hardly an exciting vibe to their rivalry. At Money In The Bank, two things must happen. Firstly, Baron Corbin has to be the one to leave victorious, otherwise the former NXT man will lose any and all momentum he has gained on the main roster.
Secondly, the drab tit-for-tat feud needs to come to an end following the show. WWE can't squeeze any more matches out of Ziggler vs. Corbin, it's been seen far too often over the past couple of months. It's time for both guys to move on after June 19.
The most logical way to do this is to give Baron the win, then set him up with another issue on Raw the next night.
