Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E are no strangers to a microphone, the trio routinely poke fun at rivals during pre-match promos. Money In The Bank offered up much of the same, The New Day decided to have some laughs at the expense of The Vaudevillains, The Club and the team of Enzo Amore and Big Cass.

Incredibly, they didn't stop there. At one point, Big E stopped his topical in-house references to say that The New Day were the most "elite" tag-team in the entire wrestling world. Undoubtedly, that was a thinly-veiled yet cunning nod towards Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

Through Pro Wrestling Tees, that particular trio have a shirt out bearing the words, 'The Elite Day'. It's a definite parody of New Day merch, likely for light-hearted reasons. On social media, members of both sides have interacted, usually trading banter and soft insults.

It's uncommon for top tag-teams in WWE to talk about those from other companies, especially Japan or the independent scene. If that's what Big E was looking for here, it acted as a little Easter egg on the show.
