WWE Money In The Bank 2016: 5 Near-Guarantees & 5 Possible Surprises

1. Possible Surprise: Dean Ambrose Becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champion

WWE is undoubtedly backing Roman Reigns as their top guy and he will defeat Seth Rollins, but he won't leave Money in the Bank as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. If WWE wants to essentially print money - and you know it does - then Dean Ambrose winning his first world title is the best possible outcome.

Many are expecting Ambrose to win the Money in the Bank briefcase and cash in sometime later on that night. What they may not expect, despite the briefcase's proven track record, is Dean Ambrose being victorious against Roman Reigns.

The 'Dean Ambrose should win the title' story has been told time and time again, but if ever there was a time when it made perfect sense, it's now.

WWE reminding viewers of The Shield's success surely has a higher purpose than hyping Reigns and Rollins at Money in the Bank. If Dean Ambrose successfully wins the Championship - potentially with the assistance of a sour Seth Rollins - the stage is set for Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins to meet in a Triple Threat Match at SummerSlam with all three men having been the top guy at some stage.

Of course, this is assuming all three remain on the same brand after the draft, but WWE would be crazy to cut this story short.

As an added bonus, we would receive two months of Ambrose antics before Reigns inevitably wins the title back. You just know WWE would froth at the thought of The Guy being a four-time world champion.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
