WWE Money In The Bank 2018: 10 Things WWE Got Right
2. Putting The Women's MITB Match On Before The Men's
For the second year running, WWE got the formatting of their Money In The Bank card spot on.
This time, they went one better by not opening with the women's Ladder-based bump fest and instead letting fans bed into the show before they were treated to some MITB goodness. That, along with the fact the female match aired before the men's one, really helped it feel special.
Sure, there's an argument to be made that WWE's women are worthy of headlining. They absolutely are, but the writers had to think about Alexa Bliss cashing in and how that would impact the card overall. Plus, it was just nice to see everyone involved let loose without worrying about copying spots from the other titular match.
The female version was around 18 minutes of balls to the wall action, had way better flow than the previous women's MITB matches and genuinely had fans on the edge of their seats hoping Becky Lynch might win.
Special mention must go to Lana too. As the least experienced of the line up, she held her own.
