WWE Money In The Bank 2018: 10 Things WWE Got Right

6. Prolonging Seth Rollins' Intercontinental Title Reign

Elias is the kind of engaging character that neither needs a championship at the moment nor deserves to take one away from one of Raw's best babyfaces. Seth Rollins is on quite the roll at the minute anyway. He can work against anybody and deliver the goods, so keeping the Intercontinental gold on him made sense.

A real workhorse who is blatantly outshining Roman Reigns in the face role on Monday nights, Rollins is the best choice as IC Champ this summer. The longer he keeps the title, the better he'll become too.

Whilst there was nothing wrong with putting Elias in the challenger role, the match here was a stopgap before Seth moves onto something with a little more oomph at SummerSlam; Rollins is a safe pair of hands for WWE, because they know that, irrespective of who he's booked against, he'll pull a good-to-great match out of them.

There was never any need to interfere with his babyface momentum, and if he's given someone with a higher profile than Elias next month then his match just might steal the show.
