The veteran won his first world title in WWE last year, but many are still sceptical over whether Christian has the ability to be a main eventer. While he obviously has the wrestling ability, it could be argued that he doesnt quite have the same bond with the crowd that most top level wrestlers have. If he was to win it could help him solidify his place as main eventer. Unfortunately the benefits of a MITB win for the Canadian stop there. He is a veteran and one year shy of 40. Would it benefit the WWE to give a push to someone who isnt the future of the company? Hes also one of the few wrestlers, like Chris Jericho and Kane, who can provide a link between the top level and mid card. He has the ability to elevate a younger wrestler and that skill may be lost should it be decided that another title victory be on the cards.
