After Randy Orton had seen off Nexus leader Wade Barrett and subsequently been beaten to a pulp by the black-and-yellow-wearing squad, WWE Championship MITB contract holder The Miz seized his moment and successfully cashed-in on the prone 'Viper'.

This was Miz' first ever WWE Championship win and he held the belt for over five months. He would even famously defend the title against John Cena at WrestleMania XXVII in a winning effort - thanks to The Rock's interference.

Finally losing the belt to Cena in a triple threat steel cage match - which also included John Morrison - at Extreme Rules 2011, Miz then went on to form an underated team with R-Truth known as The Awesome Truth. He eventually brilliantly shifted into his 'A-Lister' gimmick in 2014 after starring in The Marine 4: Moving Target. He'd then flip between being a devious heel and driven babyface over the next few years, but he can now be found tagging with his old pal John Morrison on Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

As of writing he has held 18 titles in WWE overall, including an impressive eight Intercontinental Championships.
