WWE: My WrestleMania 29 Experience

The Long Road Home

Fortunately there was plenty of signage advising all passengers to NYC follow for the train. We weren€™t quite sure if this was to take us direct or to stop at Secaucus. A couple of guys with thick NY accents were able to help and told us we€™d be going to a connecting train into NYC. No problem, we€™ll follow the horde. Once on the train it didn€™t take long to meet our connecting train into the city. During this time I overheard a guy mention that the HOF ceremony was better than the show as well as a couple of NY natives mistake a British family for Canadian. (Honestly we don€™t know how you can get a British accent so confused? We€™ve had Australian, Canadian and South African in the past??) But they spoke to the young kid and asked him all about his favourite parts. New Yorkers are genuinely nice people. The rest of the people on the train remained pretty quiet, it would seem the live audience had enjoyed the event but were definitely not excited to share their thoughts on proceedings. Before long we were disembarking into Penn station and were again following a horde out onto the busy streets of New York City. We decided against taking the subway up town to our hotel as it was past midnight and had heard stories, so we started our trek up the 21 blocks to our Hotel. Along the way we picked up a couple of Pepsi€™s to quench a sudden thirst but before long the looming site of our hotel came into view. As we entered our hallway in the hotel, in the distance we saw a woman looking in the mirror at the end of the hall. Nothing strange there until we got a little closer and we realised this was a women, checking herself in the mirror at the end of the hall with her pants around her ankles. Seriously, a half-naked woman just hanging out for no apparent reason! Trying not laugh we hurried our way into our room. Needless to say we hit the bed and didn€™t find it too hard to find sleep. We needed rest, tomorrow was RAW night.
