WWE: New Age Outlaws' 8 Most Memorable Moments

4. The Outlaws Split

Chyna became the first person to split from the second wave of DX when she jumped ship to the Corporation and it wasn't long before Triple H joined her after double crossing X-Pac at WrestleMania 15. This left The Outlaws and X-Pac as the surviving members of the group but X-Pac brought Kane into the fold to strengthen the ailing stable. This new arrival upset Billy Gunn, who had grown frustrated with Kane's arrival and the Outlaws inability to take the Tag Titles from Kane and X-Pac. Billy had been earmarked as the break out star of the group by WWE officials, and finally split from DX after attacking X-Pac and Road Dogg. Gunn pointed to Triple H and Chyna's success after leaving and claimed that Degeneration X had been holding him back. Billy went on to defeat Road Dogg in a good but forgotten match at Over the Edge 1999, then went on to somewhat prove his theory by becoming the 1999 King of the Ring. Around this time, Triple H decided that Road Dogg and X-Pac were making too much money off the DX name and that he, Chyna and Billy Gunn deserved the lions share of the profits. This led to a match pitting X-Pac and Road Dogg against Chyna and Billy at Fully Loaded 1999 wherein the winning team would retain all the rights to the DX name. X-Pac and Dogg ended up winning the match and the second DX went out with more of a whimper than a bang. Eventually it would all be proved a bit pointless when DX reunited about 3 months later.
