WWE Newcastle Live Review - 9 Interesting Observations
6. Adrian Neville Has A Speed And Smoothness That Could Make Him A Great
Adrian Neville was hugely impressive in front of his home crowd. I've seen the likes of Mysterio, Benoit and Michaels live in their prime, and Neville blew those men away in terms of his smoothness and speed in the ring. He has the ability to execute very athletic moves with a flow that should be impossible for a man moving as fast as he does. It's stunning to see. The problem he may have is how he fits all that into the main roster. He may end up pigeon-holed as a cruiserweight kind of guy, you don't really see his ring style in the main event. If he is going to make it as WWE Champion one day he will have to be an innovator of the main event scene. He got a strong reaction based off of 'hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne' and various small pockets of smart fans tried to get specific chants over at certain points. He was a star for the night. His top rope corkscrew dive to the outside on to Bo Dallas and the finisher corkscrew shooting star press were genuine 'whoa' moments. Something to note about Neville is how ripped he is, the guy is stacked in muscle. It is almost like looking at a young Dynamite Kid, a smaller dude with a huge upper body. You would think that all that muscle mass might restrict his agility, but no, Neville is like a cat in the ring. It will be interesting to see how his career progresses for the next time he returns to Newcastle.
