WWE Night Of Champions: 10 Hidden Gem Matches You Must See
9. Matt Hardy vs. Chavo Guerrero (2008)
Night Of Champions 2008 was headlined by John Cena vs. Triple H. That WWE Title bout was always going to the steal the show, meaning a lot of fans don't remember much of the undercard. On the surface, the WWE United States Title match between Matt Hardy and Chavo Guerrero didn't have a lot going for it. Existing as only the second match on the card, Hardy vs. Guerrero was also only allotted less than 10 minutes to make an impression. All the elements of a standard TV-style effort were there, but the chemistry between both men helped save the day. This was a weird period in both men's WWE careers, and both would only last a few more years in the promotion. Chavo would last around a year longer than Matt, but they deserve praise for the work they put in at Night Of Champions. Mired on the undercard with so many other title bouts, it was always going to be hard to make this one impactful. Thankfully, Chavo's natural heel heat and Hardy's hard work collided well, making the match the very definition of a hidden gem.
