4. Rollins Retains Both Titles
It would be incredibly shocking if Seth Rollins walked out of Night of Champions with no gold at all. Slightly less shocking is the thought of him walking out of that show still holding both of his titles.
Rollins has had an effective reign as a slimy heel champion up to this point and it would be easy to continue as is. One day someone will take his WWE title from him. The longer he holds onto it, the more of a moment it will mean for whomever that is.
Alternatively, there's benefit to him carrying the US title. Cena has done great work in elevating it. He's the top star in the company and a great in-ring wrestler. Having that belt paired alongside the WWE title is another positive step in making it more prominent.
Rollins works well as a heel double champion but it shouldn't be a long-term story arc. By having them concentrated on one guy, less wrestlers get the opportunity to pursue them. Both titles have value and should be separated again to give a tangible goal for others.
Holding both belts is good for the moment but I don't think his dual reign will continue. He'll still be a champion after this upcoming special event, but some shakeup should be expected with one of the belts.
