As a fan of Sting, it's intriguing to consider the possibility that he could win the WWE title for the first time in his legendary career. One strong reason for a Sting win is that when he inevitably gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame he can have "Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion" added to his list of accolades.
If Sting wins the belt and Rollins retains his US Championship against Cena, it would make logical sense. While I see this scenario of Sting winning the WWE title as having a slight bit more of a chance of coming into fruition if Seth Rollins retains the US Championship, I still see it as lower on the list of the remaining possibilities.
The thought a Sting title run would be exciting. If he lost it back to Rollins in a month or so then this could be simply a hiccup in Rollins' era with the gold, so I won't rule this scenario out.
