1. CM Punk Burns Seth’s MITB Cash-In
Here's the number one nightmare outcome for NOC 2025.
Seth Rollins and his band of not-so-merry men will likely try to scupper CM Punk's bid to dethrone John Cena and enjoy another reign as WWE Champion. That's totally on brand for a hate-filled berk like Seth's character. He doesn't want to see enemies like Punk enjoy anything, let alone pyro popping off as they hold the biggest belt in the land high above their heads.
So, a Rollins run-in is almost certain, but...what if Seth tries to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase like he did back at 'Mania 31 in 2015? He'd have to win if he did, because the alternative blows. Seth and Paul Heyman would look mighty stupid if they cashed in but let Punk wreck their bid to seize the gold. Yes, that'd push Rollins and Punk towards more matches (possibly at SummerSlam), but that briefcase is a necessary psychological tool for Seth and Heyman on TV.
Without it, what do they really have to mouth off about? In theory, Paul has surrounded his new charge with maulers like Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker to ensure that Rollins gets to cash in successfully. They'd also look like tools if they couldn't take care of Cena whilst Seth stomped Punk's head into the mat and pinned him.
Tread very carefully, WWE. Removing that MITB privilege from Rollins and having him fail to cash it in properly so soon after winning it would make him look more Damien Sandow than Edge. It's important that a crafty heel like Seth leans more on the ultimate opportunist side.
