WWE No Mercy 2017: 10 Things WWE Got Right

9. Booker T's Disdain For Any Jason Jordan Nepotism

Whilst Michael Cole repeatedly leapt to the defence of Jason Jordan and claimed the ex-American Alpha man was fully deserving of a crack at Raw's top titles, Booker T was a bit less gushing over Kurt Angle's kayfabe son. Booker cried foul over nepotism several times on commentary at No Mercy, and even seemed to revel in Jordan's loss.

"Get to the back of the line, kid," were Booker's exact words as Jason walked the ramp with a disappointed look on his face post-match. This makes perfect sense if you think about it. Booker had to work for everything he had in wrestling, both in WCW and WWE. It realistically wouldn't sit well with him to see someone thrust into the title mix due to family ties.

Booker's disdain wasn't subtle and he came across more like a typical heel announcer than the usual jovial style he uses. This was a nice departure from that inoffensive character and thus sold the storyline more effectively than any praise could hope to. More of this would make Booker more valuable behind the announce desk.
