WWE No Way Out In Review - Title Matches Save Lacklustre PPV
Hunico vs Sin Cara The non-storyline moving Hunico faced off against his long time rival Sin Cara... Again. Hunico got some strong offence throughout the match, the pairing was a good one to get Sin Cara over as both have wrestled each other many times before and knows each wrestlers spots inside and out, the only downside is that it has been seen many times before. Unfortunately it was another unannounced match, which meant the crowd didn't really know how to react as there has been no build and the outcome had no real relevance. Sin Cara though has certainly picked up his pace and worked on his fluidness in the ring as his matches are woven together far more tightly now, as I said it helps when you opponent knows you as well as you know yourself. Hunico did some good spots and an array of moves but ultimately Sin Cara got the victory in a quick finish. In Brief: A spot filled match which utilized both men, yet its outcome determined no real direction for either star and was given to the fans with no build-up which resonated from the lack of reaction. Triple Threat Match For The WWE Championship - CM Punk vs Danaiel Bryan vs Kane Obviously one of the best matches of the night, all three men worked hard and gave their all. There was a big pop for Punk and Yes! Chants filled the arena for Bryan and various spots. With a slow start between Kane and Punk, Bryan then threw himself back into the mix which picked up the pace, the match was easily complimenting each mans abilities. Kane attempted a three man suplex by which Punk managed to squirm out of, as Bryan was sat on the Big Red Monsters shoulders Punk did his top rope dive, this was a good example of how each man was utilised throughout the match without it turning into a ridiculous spot fest. The match came to close a in quick succession as AJ appeared on the apron and was knocked off by Kane, who was then momentarily confused by what he done, allowing Punk to capatalise. After the match Kane picked up the apparently unconscious AJ and carried her to the back, although she smiled back at Punk halfway up the ramp. Fans were still left in confusion as to who's side AJ is apparently on, with no real explanation or obvious conclusion told at the PPV. With this in mind though it was nice not to have the whole AJ story eclipse the match itself and with her only getting involved at the very last minute (the timing of her getting from the back to the apron was perfect) it allowed the fans to enjoy the spectacle that was taking place. In Brief: An excellent Triple Threat Title match where each man showed their strengths, allowing for a nicely laid out bout where the right guy came out on top. Ryback - Squash Match I stated earlier (in the Santino, Rodriguez match) that there are other times were WWE could invest TV time more appropriately... This is one of those times. In a nutshell as a fan, the Goldberg squashes are getting repetitive, boring and as usual has no absolutely no direction. In Brief: A pointless, repetitive bore. Click "next" below to read part 4...
