When the familiar music of William Regal hit the speakers just after the intermission, the audience jumped to their feet because everyone respected and loved the home countryman. Midway through his entrance the speaker shifted to Oh I do Like To Be Beside The Seaside as Regal beamed at the memories of being in Blackpool as he entered the ring. After putting a couple of hecklers, who meant well, to rest, Regal talked about how it felt like yesterday that he was wrestling in Blackpool and he cant quite believe its been 30 years for him. It was incredibly refreshing to see a veteran performer come out who is genuinely passionate about the future of the wrestling business and helping the talent grow and make it a success. As he took a final bow, the audience roared with approval at the sight of the Dastardly Villain getting to take one curtain call in a town where he got his start over 30 years ago.
