Back when Bull Dempsey debuted on NXT, he seemed to be floundering and in need of a character overhaul to try and connect with the crowd. This came in the form of Bullfit. There were pretty fantastic vignettes of him praising the healthy benefits of eating Doritos and fast food while the audience ate it up. When Bull arrived in Blackpool for his match with Tye Dillinger, the English crowd were fully behind the fitness guru. Bull was getting the referee to do jumping jacks and hed run the ropes only to become out of breath after about 2 minutes. But the beauty of BullFit is that he takes 15 seconds to regain his composure and hes fit as a fiddle again. Dempsey is really finding his own with the comedic character and in Blackpool the audience treated him more favourably than most of the UK cities treated the majority of the babyface roster on WWEs tour in November. The gimmick absolutely isnt going to take Bull to the main event but if he can hone his craft a little more and keep working, theres no reason that the RAW audience wouldnt be as invested in him as Blackpool was.
