After he had beaten No Way Jose, Austin Aries went to punish the comparative rookie further. That's when a recently-returned fan favourite made his way down to ringside to teach Aries a lesson. That man was Hideo Itami, and Aries sold the Japanese star's arrival on the scene well with a shocked facial expression.

There was a time when WWE fans would cheer CM Punk hitting the 'Go To Sleep' on unfortunate opponents, but nowadays that move belongs to Itami. Truthfully, he had used it for years in his homeland anyway, but it's still heartening that the audience were fully behind the finisher.

That pop when Hideo nailed Austin Aries with the GTS was deafening, and fans can now look forward to a feud between the pair. There are certainly worse men to put Itami with upon his return, Aries will bring the best out in him during their rivalry.

Hideo Itami didn't stick around too long at TakeOver Brooklyn II, but he made a huge impact in just a few short minutes. The match between Aries and Jose flowed naturally into this segment.
