Inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame alongside The Road Warriors in 2011, Paul Ellering made a shocking appearance at TakeOver. Most famous for leading Hawk and Animal into battle, the manager simply appeared on the ramp following an attack on American Alpha by a pair of newcomers.

After Chad Cable and Jason Jordan's match against The Revival, Gzim Selmani and Sunny Dhinza made their on-screen debuts with a vicious beatdown. Looking like mercenaries, they were dressed in dark vests and camo-style gear. It wasn't an ambush that anybody could foresee coming, and that only made it more exciting to see.

These little surprises make wrestling shows special, even if the majority of the audience didn't seem to know who Ellering was. With the aid of some handy promo skills and video packages, WWE should be able to remedy that swiftly, there's no way they shouldn't be putting over the fact that Ellering managed The Road Warriors.

It looks like American Alpha have one more feud to contend with before inevitably jumping to the main roster.
