WWE NXT's 31 Wrestlers - Ranked From Worst To Best
8. Enzo Amore
Pros:
1. Absolute master of physical comedy
2. Fantastic tag team skills
3. Best promo in NXT
Cons:
1. Overly dependent on catchphrases
2. Still doesn't have an established finisher
3. Very little offensive ability
There are very few wrestlers in the world who have a better understanding of their character than Enzo Amore. He's taken what could have been an extremely generic guido gimmick and fleshed it out with bizarre tics, intense physical charisma and some of the funniest promo work in years.
He's one half of NXT's most popular tag team alongside Big Cass, and the duo seem practically destined for main roster success. Comparisons to the New Age Outlaws are neither uncommon nor unwarranted, as the Realest Guys in the Room are masters at captivating any audience they are put in front of.
Enzo's main in-ring talent is getting killed, which he does extremely well. His most frequent finishing maneuver is tagging in Cass, who then hurl's Enzo's unconscious body onto one of their opponents for the pin. It's a similar dynamic to the old Nick Bockwinkel/Bobby Heenan tag team matches in the AWA, except these days the loudmouth who needs his friend to save him is a beloved hero.
It's not a traditional recipe for success in the wrestling business, but it's hard to argue with popularity, and that's something the Smacktalker Skywalker has in spades.
