WWE Paul Heyman DVD Review: 13 Things You Should Know
11. Jim Ross Relationship
It was always rumoured amongst the internet wrestling community that Jim Ross and Paul Heyman never got on, and part of that was down to the way the two clashed as commentators on WWE television in 2001. Despite the apparent frictions, the reality is that there has always been a great mutual respect between Ross and Heyman. The two first came together in WCW during the early 90's. On the DVD, Heyman offers great credit to his meeting Ross and the influence it had. "I learned more about performance from Jim Ross than any other person" he states. That's high praise indeed when you consider the calibre of people Heyman was mixing with in those booming wrestling days. It's obvious from Ross's and Heyman's interviews that they've got a great deal of appreciation for each other. However, Ross does admit there was tension during the 2001 commentary duties - "He would legitimately p*** me off."
