AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns was filled with distractions. At 25 minutes in length, they were welcome.

As much as some may prefer the style, WWE isn't New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring Of Honor, they have their own way of doing things. The fact AJ Styles was able to work brilliantly within those parameters is very encouraging.

Count outs, disqualifications and interference ruled the day, but nothing felt too forced. Best of all, there was a sense that Styles could feasibly have won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship had things worked out differently in the match.

That's where a rematch at Extreme Rules comes in.

Crashing through the announce desk and using plot devices such as low blows, Reigns and Styles were hinting at what was to come. After Reigns had eventually retained the gold, Stephanie and Shane McMahon revealed backstage that the duo would collide once more on the next pay-per-view.

The bout will be an Extreme Rules Match, something which - once more - makes it a worthy headliner. Announcing the rematch straight away was clever, what had just happened was fresh in the minds of everyone watching.
