Roman Reigns' comeback at SummerSlam was predicted by some beforehand, but it was one of the best in recent memory because of what happened after the initial cries of, "It's Roman!". Reigns had packed on muscle and was all-business as he battered both Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman senseless.

The key to his success long-term will be maintaining that edge. Some on social media are worried that won't be the case, and it's hard to allay their fears when WWE blatantly love Roman as their happy, smiling poster boy. Can they stick to this recent grit and hammer home a full-blown heel turn? It remains to be seen.

Reigns might win the Universal Title at Payback and then revert to his old 'happy to be here' demeanour.

If he does, then WWE won't get a tune out of him for the rest of 2020. Reigns as a heroic babyface is passé now, and the lack of live crowds means this is his and his employer's best chance to see what he's capable of without pandering to the people.
