Though currently working a tag feud with The Bar on SmackDown, The New Day's Big E could soon be set for a massive singles push - according to PW Insider.

They write that E has long been considered for a solo run, and that June 17th's Money In The Bank pay-per-view could be the starting point.

WWE's MITB prep is already underway, and SmackDown will host another qualifier next week, with The Bar and New Day meeting in two-on-two competition. One member of the winning team will then advance to the ladder match, joining Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, The Miz, Rusev, and three others TBA.

This gives E an easy pathway into the match, but victory would be a tall order, as he'd be surrounded by bigger singles stars. Still, The New Day are one of WWE's most popular acts, so the 285lb-er grabbing the briefcase isn't completely out of the question.

Big E has been linked with a singles push several times over the past few years. His previous Intercontinental Title-winning run didn't work out, but given The New Day's enduring prosperity, he's in a far better position to succeed in 2018.
