WWE PPVs To Stream Advert-Free On Peacock
Looks like WWE fans will be rewarded with interruption-free PPV viewing on Peacock.
Each and every WWE PPV airing on Peacock will stream commercial and advert-free, according to PWInsider.
This news will likely be welcomed by wrestling fans who feared the WWE Network's transition over to Peacock could see a string of adverts pumped into whatever WWE PPV is airing live at that time. That being said, a Peacock RP has also confirmed that advertisements will feature during the streaming of on-demand content.
WWE are still in the middle of a transitional period in terms of getting all of their content onto Peacock, with it being reported that a bulk of their extensive back catalogue will not be available until SummerSlam 2021 (August 22) at least. It's also been revealed that "match markers, visual scrubbing of video timelines, and the ability to rewind/fast-forward or start live programming from the beginning are not expected to be available at launch, or possibly ever", according to a quote Dave Meltzer sourced for the Wrestling Observer.
WWE has now officially launched on Peacock, with this Sunday's Fastlane set to be the first ad-free PPV on the new platform. WrestleMania 37 and Night Two of NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver are also set to go down on Peacock in the coming weeks.
