Each was headlined by a match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan, none of which were anywhere near as interesting to watch as the match that took place between the two on free television earlier in the year, particularly as all three featured 'screwjob' endings or non-finishes. There were some standouts, particularly the highly emotional bout at Battleground that saw brothers Cody Rhodes and Goldust team up to take on The Shield with father Dusty Rhodes in their corner, but for every match such as this and the triple threat match at Hell In A Cell featuring the same two teams as well as the Usos, there was the likes of Los Matadores effectively squashing the Real Americans or The Great Khali actually taking up precious time on a pay-per-view event.
