WWE: Ranking 2013's PPVs From Worst To Best

7. Wrestlemania

Wrestlemania1Card: The Miz vs. Wade Barrett (c) for the Intercontinental Championship The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) vs. Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Big Show Mark Henry vs. Ryback Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston for the WWE Tag Team Championship Fandango vs. Chris Jericho Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight Championship The Undertaker vs. CM Punk Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H in a No Holds Barred The Rock (c) vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship As the 'granddaddy of them all', Wrestlemania has been the home for so many of wrestling's most breathtaking moments throughout the years, ranging from the 'body slam heard round in the world' in the Wrestlemania III encounter between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant to the retirement matches of Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels to Eddie Guerrero and 'He who must not be named' (Chris Benoit) standing tall following their respective championship victories at Wrestlemania 20. With the exception of an exhilarating encounter between CM Punk and the Undertaker, whose rivalry was greatly enhanced by the unfortunate passing of Undertaker's longtime manager Paul Bearer, there was nothing on the night that came anywhere close to emulating such things €“ the rematch between The Rock and John Cena from Wrestlemania 28 seemed to merely consist of finisher after finisher and the rematch between Triple H and Brock Lesnar from Summerslam 2012 featured a disproportionate number of lengthy (and dull at times) rest holds, though the first match of the night, a six man tag team match between The Shield and the team of Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Big Show, was a great way to kick things off. Here's hoping that next year's event, the landmark thirtieth, will offer some slightly more memorable fare.
