WWE: Ranking 5 Best & Worst Belt Designs In WWE History

4. WWF Light Heavyweight Championship (1997-2001)

WWE_Light_Heavyweight_Championship Unlike the last belt which design was flawed due to poor understanding of what the belt represented, this belt falls down on pure simplicity which made the belt and the holder, look like they were carrying around a toy. I understand that the Lightweights were simply forgotten by WWE and would be chucked onto Heat back in the day to fill time but it looks so un-prestigious that I€™m sure the champion simply didn€™t care either. This title also falls down on being one of the most pointless titles the WWE ever used. I can€™t recall a single PPV when the title was defended bar the invasion PPV (I'm sure it was though) and I think I remember a couple of Smackdowns but no more. WCW on the other hand had a lovely little title and promoted it correctly. Cruisers from all over the world would delight the audience before the draws in the upper card put on the storylines. Poor from the €˜E on all counts really.
