WWE: Ranking Bret Hart's 14 Matches At WrestleMania

10. WrestleMania 9 vs. Yokozuna

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IJYvcA3D1Q The 9th WrestleMania was the worst one. That's a point that could be argued obviously, but that's what I feel about it. Bret walked into it as the WWE Champion that defended the title against Royal Rumble Yokozuna. The two had plenty of matches over the years. This is one of their first ones. Yoko won after his manager, Mr. Fuji, threw the dreaded Fuji Dust in Bret's eyes and Yoko covered for the win. The match was okay for a Yokozuna match. As good as Bret was, it was hard to carry Yoko to a good match. You don't want to book a guy like that in a longer match, so getting around 9 minutes for the match was fine by me. I always thought Yoko should have hit his Banzai Drop after the Fuji Dust because it would have made the win more impressive. He looked really tired, though, so it's understandable that they went right into the finish. Bret worked his ass off here even though he was probably not happy with the booking decision. I'm not even talking about the loss to Yokozuna. I'm talking about what happened after that when Hulk Hogan walked out and left with the WWE Title. I remember watching the match live and wondering why they would have Bret lose. It was normal for the babyface to win the main event of WrestleMania. It turned out that it happened with Hogan leaving with it, but it was not a result I liked then or now.
