It was one of the most star-studded MITB matches to date as all five participants were former WWE Champions including Kane, Big Show, The Miz and Chris Jericho. The next night on Raw, Big Show attacked CM Punk in the middle of the ring. Cena's entrance music hit and the former Doctor of Thuganomics made his way to the ring. But instead of cashing in, he announced that he would give Punk one week to prepare and cashed in at Raw 1000. This turned out to be a bad decision for Cena as he became the first MITB winner in history to cash in his contract and not win the title due to interference from Big Show. Sometimes hustle, loyalty and respect doesn't pay.
