WWE: Ranking The Previous 12 Battle Royals In Wrestlemania History

3. WrestleMania 2000 - 13 Man, 15 Minute Hardcore Title Battle Royal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsobOc6UiQE PPV: Hardcore Holly won a 13-man 15-minute hardcore battle royal to win the WWF Hardcore Title; participants included: Tazz, Viscera, Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs, Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Headbanger Mosh, Headbanger Thrasher, and the WWF Hardcore Champion going into the match, Crash Holly. Why isn't it ranked higher: It was a mess of a match, but for those who care about title histories and changes, this match had a bunch! Anyone could pin the champion before the 15-minute expired to win the title, and literally anyone did! Tazz, Viscera, Funaki, Rodney, Joey Abs, Thrasher, Pete Gas, Tazz again, original champion Crash Holly, and finally his cousin Hardcore all picked up short Hardcore Championship reigns at WrestleMania 2000. Now that I think about it... all three members of the Mean Street Posse won the Hardcore title in this match; why did I rank this match so high? Interesting Fact: In his autobiography The Hardcore Truth, Hardcore Holly admits that the timer was supposed to hit zero before referee Tim White counted the final three-count in the match, technically meaning Crash "successfully" defended the title. Amidst the chaos, ring announcer Howard Finkel announced Hardcore as the new champion, and everyone just went with it; Crash would win the title back the following night on Raw regardless.
