WWE: Ranking The Previous 12 Battle Royals In Wrestlemania History

8. Wrestlemania 21 - 30 Man Battle Royal

PreShow: Booker T (w/ Sharmell) won a 30-man battle royal by last eliminating Chris Masters at 11:36; other participants included: the Hurricane, Luther Reigns, Tajiri, Scotty 2 Hotty, Sho Funaki, Spike Dudley, Billy Kidman, Charlie Haas, Maven, Gene Snitsky, Val Venis, John Heidenreich, Simon Dean, Sylvian Grenier, Rosey, Rhyno, Hardcore Holly, Rob Conway, Doug Basham, William Regal, Danny Basham, Tyson Tomko, Orlando Jordan, Akio, Viscera, Paul London, and Mark Jindrak. Why isn't it ranked higher: Booker T defended the World Tag Team Championship (with RVD) at the previous year's WrestleMania, and competed for the World Heavyweight Championship (vs. Triple H) the year before that, and was still considered a big star at WrestleMania 21- check out his Pulp Fiction- parody trailer with Eddie Guerrero from that year- but this was all he could get. Next month he'd be fighting for the WWE Title on Smackdown, and his placement on this card was (rightfully) called into question by Kurt Angle. Interesting Fact: This was the first Battle Royal at WrestlMania in which all o the combatants wore either red (Raw) or blue (Smackdown) t-shirts, because the brand-split was still considered important in 2005.
