WWE Raw: 10 Things To Expect Tonight

7. Roman Reigns In A TV Match Of The Year Candidate

Although hardly a workhorse in the bracket of Dolph Ziggler or Cesaro, when Roman has good chemistry with his opponent, he's very capable of putting on a fantastic match. Last month at Hell in a Cell, his match with Bray Wyatt was one of the best on the whole show - overshadowed only by the bloody conclusion to Lesnar and Undertaker's epic feud. This week on Raw, we could see Reigns enjoy a bonafide Match of the Year contender (or at least one of the best TV matches of the year), as he takes on Cesaro in a WWE Title Tournament quarter final. Cesaro can have a great match with anybody - well, almost anybody (I'm looking at you, Big Show) - and in Reigns he has an opponent of similar power and dynamism. Roman might not be anywhere near as polished as Cesaro, but the framework is certainly there for a barn-burning encounter. The only downside is the fact that Cesaro is almost certainly losing. Hopefully his recent performances have been enough to convince WWE of a future push. He deserves it more than most.
