WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (April 21)

No matter how much things seem to change in WWE, it's all superficial. The company still protects the same sort of wrestlers, and dressing it up with good midcard matches featuring former independent stars can't hide their true agenda.

First, it was Roman Reigns. For the third consecutive week, Reigns came out to cut a promo and was booed vociferously. AJ Styles interrupted him, but then spent the beginning of his own promo putting Roman over and talking about how hard it would be to beat him. After Anderson and Gallows attacked Reigns, he was shown backstage, walking around angrily and barely selling the beating.

The next segment featured Baron Corbin, who squashed Fandango. Dolph Ziggler was doing commentary, and it was his turn to put his opponent over. He talked about how tough Corbin was - at least until Corbin attacked him and laid him out, as well. Ziggler fought back, but never looked like a threat.

WWE does its best to protect these guys, but it's not working - fans hate Roman, and they're not going to take Corbin seriously when there are better guys on the roster. Still, the way they're treated as compared to Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn, and even AJ Styles tells the whole story of how the company operates.
