As aforementioned, Survivor Series is all about Monday Night Raw attempting to show superiority over the upstart SmackDown Live. Whether WWE like it or not, that's how most fans will view the pay-per-view. The company can wax lyrical all they like about brand equality, the fact remains that Raw is still considered WWE's flagship show.

That said, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan form a much more popular Commissioner and General Manager team on SmackDown than Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley do on the red brand. This became clear during a head-to-head segment on Raw this week.

Shane said that SmackDown was the better program, prompting fans to cheer wildly for such a statement. Then, Steph rightly pointed out that all those people cheering had purchased tickets to see Monday Night Raw. Not understanding why people were so giddy over SmackDown, Stephanie had a point.

As much as her logic was off when setting up some matches earlier in the broadcast, Stephanie McMahon had every reason to appear genuinely flummoxed here. Fans who had bought into her show were cheering another.
