F is for Fake Razor Ramon & Diesel

We're not sure what WWE was trying to prove here, beyond the fact that they thought fans bought into the characters and not the real people who portrayed them. After losing 2 of their biggest stars to WCW in Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, Vince and co. decided to repackage two guys who weren't going anywhere with the Razor Ramon and Diesel gimmicks.

Even weirder was the choice to associate them with Jim Ross, who waffled on about how he was sick of being embarrassed by the WWF/E and it was his turn to embarrass them. The angle was sloppy and try as they may the two guys just didn't get over and were never heard from again. Well, except for the fake Diesel who went on to become Isaac Yankem, DDS and some guy called Kane.
