WWE RAW 30/10/13 Review
Match 6: Zack Ryder vs. Alberto Del Rio
Alberto Del Rio def. Zack Ryder via Submission
Rating: 7/10
Review: A solid match that is used once again to push the dominance of the Cross Arm-Breaker just like every Kofi vs. Del Rio match, Ryder vs. Del Rio match or Sin Cara vs. Del Rio match. However, this one had the lovely surprise of being less of a squash match than usual, and Zack Ryder got his fair share of offense in.
I am still not a Zack Ryder fan, and I'm very doubtful of whether he will be given more of a push in the future, but this was better than his usual run of the mill RAW appearance. Alberto, on the other hand, gets no real benefit.
The title remains in limbo with no good storyline, and Alberto is yet to connect to the fans as a heel or a face. I am a massive fan of his in-ring abilities and his ability to tell a story with his body, but he is just not given any good storylines and his creative direction is always somewhat lost.
I hope this improves for him, because he could be the sort of wrestler who is always in and around the WWE Championship, but at the moment he is just another World Champion that is hurting the prestige of a fabulous belt.
