WWE Raw: 8 Things To Expect Tonight (July 11)

It’s not just goofy kookiness on Raw this week though as there’s also a significant title match on the cards. Rusev will defend his United States Championship against Zack Ryder, fresh off the back of a scarcely believable two successive pinfall victories.

There’s been little-to-no build at all for this one, other than Ryder’s back-to-back wins. And that would suggest that this may well be just another Rusev win as he bulldozes his way through gamely faces on his way back up to the top.

But it’s definitely worth mentioning that Ryder actually debuted new theme music on SmackDown last week, or at least, his old tune has been rocked up by Downstait (the band responsible for the music of the Miz and Dolph Ziggler).

You’d imagine Ryder will be hoping the theme change is the first step on returning to the level of the Miz’s and Ziggler’s of this world. Not that that’s a particularly high standing, but it would certainly be a starting point for Ryder.

That or Rusev’s going wipe the floor with him and his stupid American music.
