WWE Raw Chicago Review: 5 Big Talking Points From Seeing It Live

1. Was The Chicago Crowd Happy? Or Did They Hijack The Show?

All night CM Punk chants were going strong. During every single match and segment at least one got started. Slower boring matches such as the Usos vs. New Age Outlaws and Christian vs. Sheamus were bombarded with the chants. But when the crowd wasn't calling for it's hometown hero they were cheering for another man, Daniel Bryan. The Yes Movement was in full force as crowds went crazy for their man. During his segment with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Stephanie was almost boo'd out of the building anytime she opened her mouth, and it was hilarious. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk chants completely hijacked this segment. There's probably a reason Randy Orton was never given a microphone tonight because they knew he would suffer the same fate. Many times during this promo Triple H and Stephanie just couldn't be heard at all. WWE better mend ties with Punk and continue to push Bryan's story hard or otherwise every single segment will be hijacked like this one listed above. In the main event we saw the newly heel Boo-tista... I mean Batista take on Daniel Bryan. Bryan was eventually attacked by Triple H, Kane and Randy Orton as well. The final 10 minutes the crowd was on the edge of their seat waiting for CM Punk to finally come back and save their other favourite Daniel Bryan. They waited and waited and waited until Raw went off the air, and that was it. CM Punk never came back and fans were crushed. Men, Women, children all left the arena complaining about the lack of Punk. WWE did not try to pander to the passionate fans one bit as they gave them all a big F-U (or should I say Attitude Adjustment?) What did you think of Raw yourself? Did you attend or did you watch it live? Did it matter without CM Punk? You can follow me on Twitter @TheProze and find my film/tv work at entertainmentbuffet.com.
