With WWE announcing earlier today that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19, the early stages of tonight’s Raw saw McIntyre make a pre-recorded appearance to address this situation.

Thankfully, Drew confirmed that he is one of those who, despite testing positive for COVID-19, has zero symptoms of the virus – and the Scot used this moment to reiterate how COVID-19 “should not be taken lightly” and that social distancing rules and mask wearing should be adhered to.

Following the shocking return of Goldberg on last week’s Raw Legends Night, it appears as if McIntyre is on a collision course with Da Man at this month’s Royal Rumble PPV.

Given how this year’s Rumble event takes place on 31 January, that would just about give Drew the required two-week quarantine period to be cleared for action for the PPV.

After WWE announced McIntyre’s positive test result and subsequent spell in isolation, Fightful reported that there are numerous other wrestlers who have received a positive test result recently – claiming that a COVID-19 “outbreak” is rampaging through all three of WWE, AEW and IMPACT Wrestling.
