WWE Raw NOSEDIVES To Lowest Rating On Netflix So Far (WWE News)
WWE's Raw viewership has now declined by 59% since debuting on Netflix.
WWE Raw has fallen to an all-time low in global viewership on Netflix.
The red brand's 1 September episode drew 2.4 million worldwide views, per Netflix's Tudum site. This meant it finished 8th in the weekly Top 10 of English-language shows. Season 2 of 'Wednesday' topped the chart with a colossal 28.2 million views.
Last week's 2.4 million viewers dropped beneath the previous all-time low of 2.5 million, set on 30 June. Raw had debuted to 5.9 million Netflix viewers on a loaded 6 January episode featuring The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins. Since arriving on the streaming platform, Raw's viewership has declined 59%.
Raw's viewership data differs from traditional Nielsen ratings. Netflix's viewerships are measured across seven days around the globe, while Nielsen measures United States audiences only, with its numbers consisting of live and same-day audiences. This complicates comparing Raw's viewership to other wrestling shows. The metrics are completely different.
Netflix only ever discloses viewership data for its weekly Top 10 on Tudum. Should Raw ever fall out of the Top 10, audience information is unlikely to be made public. The platform also refrains from publishing detailed demographic data - including the key 18-49 demo, which is how traditional television shows are ranked via Nielsen.
Raw's 1 September episode coincided with the Labor Day holiday in the United States. It also aired at an irregular start time, given that it was taking place in Paris, France.
Viewerships for this week's WWE Raw, featuring AJ Lee's advertised return to the brand, should emerge next Tuesday.
