The Great Khali Vs Antonio Cesaro
The night of the jobber continues and poor Cesaro gets lumbered with the most useless talent on the roster. Cesaro is an amazing wrestle and therefore pulled out something, at best, watchable and with his lovely looking springboard elbow (WHAAA!!!!!) and hitting the Neutralizor on the 400+ pound man he added a sense of wonder. Ive sucked on Cesaros proverbial teat quiet enough in the past to say how good he is once again. I am going to ask why poor Natalya, the last member of the Hart family in WWE nowadays, is being lumbered with two joke acts in Khali and Hornswoggle? Is she there for sex appeal or to put her on TV? Either way Im not sure about any of it and it both confuses and angers me. We recognise her; get her in the Divas division Dagnabbit!
Paul Heyman and Brad Maddox Segment
A fairly confusing backstage segment this one and Im not quite sure what the purpose was. Its nice to see Maddox on TV still as Im quite enjoying his little storyline and am totally unsure on where it could be going. He can easily get his point across through his talking skills and his involvement with Heyman/Punk will help no end. Until this story arc comes to a head I think we will have to make do with some odd run-ins with Maddox by Punk or Heyman and others. Nice little segment however which I hope will make sense in the future. Sheamus vs. Jinder Mahal
Much like the Orton bout this could have been a small showcase of the underdeveloped Jinder Mahal. Instead it turned into a comedy fest that made Sheamus look a bit stupid and a tiny bit homosexual. In the end all three members of the band ate Brogue Kicks and Sheamus looks beasty. Not much else to say apart from to ask is this what we are destined see until the Rumble? Orton does something so Sheamus does it as a retort until they come face to face during the Royal Rumble. I suppose its not a terrible way to go about it I just feel there could be more effort involved. Well see in the coming weeks. WWE Championship Match
CM Punk Vs Ryback
We should all feel lucky that we got to see the ridiculous match at the TLC PPV involving Ryback, Team Hell No and The Shield AS WELL as this superb showing on free TV. This could quite easily have been broadcast on a pay per view event and people would be happy to pay to see it. Both men worked hard to put on a match that had all the elements of a main event and Im surprised to say that both men work extremely well together. The spots were great, chemistry was there and even I thought to myself Is Ryback Actually going to win??? of course he didnt but they suckered us in nicely. The ending was obvious but still the surprise was there along with the spectacle. I dont see Punk and Heyman denying their involvement with The Shield for too much longer because its getting a little too obvious now. What should be taken away from this match is CM Punks ability to make anyone look a million bucks whilst also keeping his image and momentum going, I would honestly say that CM Punk planned that entire match and focused it heavily on making Ryback look like a true beast. Paul Heyman added to this no end with his selling of the match with facial expressions and looks of shock; he was putting Ryback over hard. These three are doing tremendous business together which is a shame seeing as it has now ended. Let us all hope Ryback keeps his strong steps forward working with someone else.
