WWE RAW Review 7/15/2013: 5 Things We Learned

3. The Opening Segment Compels As Cena Gets To Choose His SummerSlam Opponent

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7GmCdnzRBg Brad Maddox is the new GM of the Raw program; and while this decision had me completely turned off to the idea moving forward, after watching his debut last night, it actually isn't too bad. Maddox went on to setup segments for Cena, who will face Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam by his own choosing, as well as setup the opening match of the night, which was a nice bout between Fandango and Randy Orton. A very better than average open for the show, and Fandango is really coming along in the ring. Brad Maddox is working well in this new role, at least here early on. He comes across as just a bit arrogant, and that's OK as he is the man in charge of the show. He also reminds us of a young Eric Bischoff in those days just immediately prior to the nWo program back in WCW. Here's hoping Maddox continues to grown and entertain.
