WWE Releases 2020-2021: Where Are They Now?

43. Curtis Axel

Released: 30 April 2020

Now: Mr. Perfect's boy has been in and out of WWE work since ceasing his run as a full-time in-ring talent back in April 2020. Curtis Axel was rehired as a producer in April 2022, but he's since left the company again. Who knows what his future plans are?

It won't be a 'B-Team' reunion, that's for sure.

42. Bo Dallas

Released: 15 April 2021

Now: The last line there might have something to do with rumours that Bo Dallas will soon return to WWE as part of his brother's 'Wyatt 6' stable. Working alongside Bray would be a real treat for Bo, and it'd guarantee him some TV time straight off the bat.

Again, it'd be step up from all of the sh*t he was doing in WWE before.

41. Drake Maverick

Released: 18 November 2021

Now: Pint-sized Brit Drake Maverick was released more than once between 2020-2021. However, he always found a way back into the WWE system, and currently works as part of the creative team. It's unclear just how big a say Drake has in what makes it to TV, but he's contributing.

The smart, switched-on and passionate ex-NXT man should do well in the role.

40. Deonna Purrazzo

IMPACT Wrestling

Released: 15 April 2020

Now: Deonna Purrazzo probably doesn't miss WWE's strict rules or erratic record of promoting workers from NXT to the main roster. She's flying high in IMPACT, also works for AAA, and even appeared for AEW earlier this year as part of a promotional crossover.

Don't rule out a WWE comeback someday, but Purrazzo doesn't need it.

39. Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green
GCW

Released: 15 April 2021

Now: Chelsea Green probs doesn't need it either, but she has been rumoured for a WWE comeback since Triple H assumed control. "Unfinished business" is how Chelsea has described a possible return, and she's ruled out a move to AEW during the same interviews.

ROH, IMPACT and the independent circuit have kept her busy in the interim.
