WWE Road To Wrestlemania 29: The Rock Takes Out John Cena

The Shield vs Sheamus/Randy Orton/Big Show

On Monday Night Raw, The Shield made their first appearance attacking Sheamus and then Randy Orton backstage. The Big Show would eventually arrive to save the day and send the trio running. Later on, The Shield had only their fourth official tag match, as they were fed another three-man team, this time the fearsome trio of The Great Khali, Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel - crazy to think that all three of those men have held Championship gold at some point. After picking up a quick win, The Shield delivered the triple powerbomb to The Great Khali, which brought out Sheamus and Randy Orton. Big Show appeared through the crowd, surrounding the ring. Eventually Team Face cleared the ring, sending The Shield running. On Smackdown, it was the turn of Team Face to bury a few young superstars, as the team of Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow and Antonio Cesaro stepped into the ring. Once the well telegraphed win had been seen too, The Shield came out, but were quickly chased into the crowd. This didn't stop Team Face though, who gave the nefarious trio a beating before posing at the top of the stairs. Once again, a week of solid build. Nothing to set the world alight, and clearly Team Face of Sheamus, Orton and Big Show are supposed to be getting the upper hand. Whether The Shield will dish out some pain on the go-home show next week or Team Face continues to look strong going into their match remains to be seen. It is good to see WWE putting plenty of faith in Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns, giving them plenty of TV time in the build-up to the big show, and putting them in a match with three consistent main eventers. If The Shield can continue to offer something new every time they step in to the ring, they could be another candidate to steal the show in New Jersey. Prediction: Sheamus, Orton and Big Show looking strong this week now they are on the same page - perhaps The Shield can stop them at Wrestlemania though.
