WWE made the decision to mix the main roster Raw and SmackDown brands with the NXT developmental system at Roadblock. Fans who have been tuning into NXT for years wouldn't have foreseen any problems with this, because the program should be considered a highlight of the promotion's weekly schedule.

However, there may have been those watching the show who aren't so accustomed to names like Enzo Amore, Big Cass or The Revival. Occurring near the middle of the card, the latter team defended their NXT Tag-Team Titles against the outspoken mock Italian-American duo. The results were - as predicted by those in the know - fantastic.

It was heartening to hear Michael Cole, JBL and Byron Saxton completely embrace the NXT stars. There was no talk of them being rookies or being lucky to be on such a stage with the main roster, they were treated like a valuable addition to the show. That's a good thing, it's awesome to see WWE take NXT as seriously as they should.
