WWE Roadblock: End Of The Line - 10 Predictions That Must Happen

1. Kevin Owens Retains The WWE Universal Championship

Perhaps the top reason why Roadblock seems underwhelming is the main event. For months, Roman Reigns was "sent to the midcard," though his feud with Rusev over the United States Championship seemed to get more TV time than whatever was going on with the Universal Title most weeks. Still, fans were glad that Reigns was not part of the main title picture.

The goal was always to build up some good will toward Reigns, then shoot him back to the top, but the company's already started step two without completing step one. Reigns - still the U.S. Champion - will be challenging Owens for the Universal Title. Fans are underwhelmed.

The problem is that there's no way for this to have a good ending. Either Reigns wins and becomes a double champion (which would just about make Owens the worst-booked champ in WWE history), or Owens wins through some chicanery and Reigns comes off looking like the better man anyway. It's a no-win situation.

As bleak as it is, though, Owens still needs to win. Putting the title back on Reigns now would make no sense, and Owens can have a compelling program with Sami Zayn or Chris Jericho leading into WrestleMania. With Reigns, it's more of the same, and Owens is ruined. It may not be ideal, but however Owens can get his win, he deserves it.
